Nothing Good About Good Bye

So today was the last day that I got to spend with Jarrod before going home. We decided to look at all the old war planes and had lunch at Sonic. We always see the commercials for it on TV but have never actually found one to eat at. The food was pretty good and their smoothies were amazing.

In front of the TI monument. Jarrod did not want his picture taken. He was cranky from being sleep deprived and really just wanted to relax.
After lunch we met up with Jarrods wingman Swader and went bowling.

What cool shoes we got to wear.
After bowling we got some last minute sweatshits and then had to say good bye :(
Jarrod informed me later that night that he got the MTI (military training instructor) coin. That's a big deal. His TI told him that he was an awesome leader and trainee. Yay Jarrod. The whole time he was there he only got yelled at once which is definitely an accomplishment.
He is off to Shpperd AFB for AIT and won't be home till January 8. The only good thing is that he now has his cell phone and he has weekends off. I will probably visit him in about a month.

Fly Boy

So this morning I was supposed to get to sleep in...not exactly what went down... So I woke up at 0615 to what I thought to be an alarm clock but it was so loud and annoying. I loooked around and finally realized the smoke alarm was going off. So we had to leave the room and sit outside in the cold. The fire dept. came and it turns out some idiot was smoking in the hall way.
Isn't he attractive?
Airman Hilarie

At the riverwalk. Jarrod was very cooperative with taking pictures today. He claimed it was painless.

More pictures on the bridge at the riverwalk

In the gazebo in front of the Alamo. Another painless picture.

Inside the Alamo.

Outside the Alamo
After visiting the Alamo we ate an early dinner on the riverwalk at a Mexican restaurant. After we went back to hotel for about four hours then took Jarrod back to the base. I hate having to say good bye to him, it's the worst part of the day :(

HOOAH!

So we woke up early again this moring to get to Jarrods Graduation. The ceremony was definitely somethng to see. It's such a sight to see all the airmen marching in lines exactly together. The ceremony was short and to the point..just how I like it.

Me and Jarrod. It actually warmed up enough that I could wear a tank top!

This is wear Jarrod was kept from me for 6 1/2 weeks

Jarrod's BDU

This is Jarrod's flights shirt. I got one for myself.
Our day was pretty simple today. Jarrod got to leave base and we brought him back to the hotel and just had a relaxing day there and ordered pizza. Jarrod also got his cell back today!!! I was so happy about this. Tomorrow we get to see Jarrod all day!!!

Don't Mess With Texas

Last Night I arrived in San Antonio, Texas about 2100 hours accompanied by Jarrod's mom and sister. We had some trouble finding the hotel due to constuction and exits being closed. To say the least we did end up driving down the road on the wrong side of the median. However, No oncoming traffic. Lucky us. We got to the hotel at about 2300 and then me and Allison asked the check in man for directions to the base. We told him if he told us th wrong directions in any way that we would come after him. We weren't kidding.
The morning started out with the Airmans run. The trianees ran down the road with their flights chanting. It was so hard to find Jarrod. They all look the same!
This was the first time I saw Jarrod in over 6 weeks. However, I did not get to talk to him I only got to watch him run by.

The Coin Ceremony - Jarrod's Flight - 320 TRS/FLT 647
This is when the Airman are presented with their coins and officially become Airman. Jarrod is the 6th row over three back.
After the ceremony we got to go see our Airman. I finally got to hug him..but only for 5 seconds. And then I hugged him again..for five more seconds.

This is Jarrod with his short hair. Isn't he cute.
Airman Konz
I am so proud of him. He graduated Thunderbolt. This means that Jarrod is one of the most physicallly fit Airmen! He ran a mile and a half in 9 min!

So the National Anthem started playing and I took this opportunity to snap a quick picture of Jarrod saluting.

We were actually touching in this picture. I was so happy to see him :)

Corn Maze

Yesterday I had to babysit so I decided to take the kids on an adventure. It was interesting. Me and my dad took Elijah, Courtney, Cori, Gabe, and Mason to the corn maze. This was the closest we got to a group picture all day.
Cori and Gabe
The four little ones got to do a tractor ride. They all seemed to enjoy this.
Courtney and Elijah are quite enthused with raceing ducks. Notice they are making the same face...
Hello Cori!
So Courtney and Mason do not like having their picture taken which ment that I hade to be in this one...

The lovely characters I babysit.

So Considering the rest of the Shomo family had a blog page I decided to get one too. I didn't want to be left out of the world of Shomo blogging websites so I had to make one.
